Server name = SJ and ALOOG League
The server will be running in closed booking mode which means a password is not necessary, but if you're not registered you cannot join. Once registered you can join the server at any time during any session.
To register we must have your name, GUID, chosen car and team name.
The easiest way to find your GUID is to open your Steam profile in a web browser, then copy and paste the web link into THIS tool. We need the 'steamID64' value.
We also need your driver name as you want it to be displayed in game. Note the name you give us will overwrite your in-game profile name if it is different.
Example:
Name = bigbawmcgraw
GUID = 76561198015988314
Car = Mercedes
Team name = A.Y.T
A random skin will be assigned to you which you will have for the league duration. We won't be using custom skins for this league as we don't have enough time to organize it (maybe next time?).
We must have this information by Friday 10th April or your slot may not be guaranteed. Don't leave it too late, it's less than 2 weeks until the first race.
The first league event will start on Sunday 12th April at 19:00 GMT (20:00 BST / 21:00 CET). Following events are weekly at the same time.
Once we have all of your details they will be entered onto the server for you to join. If you cannot join by Saturday 11th April let us know ASAP. The process of entering your details is long and laborious so keep changes to a minimum.
To find the server, highlight the filters as shown below then type 'aloog' into the search box. Note, do not highlight the booking option.
====================================================================================================
Teams and cars
Teams are limited to 2 persons using the same car. You can pick your own team mate or if agreements can't be made a team mate will be chosen for you but we may change your car to suit. You will have this car for the duration of the league therefor it cannot be changed. We do not want a field of Nissans. If there are too many people with the same make of car you may be chosen at random to use another.
====================================================================================================
Registration Priorities
As we have no idea how many will register for this league, we will give priority to those who have regularly taken part in past fun runs.
The game limits the number of participants to 24 per track, however if there is demand (40+ registrations) we can have 2 servers running at the same time. This will create double the work for admins so please don't register unless you are confident you will participate in all of the races.
====================================================================================================
TeamSpeak is a requirement for all events. You do not need to speak or even have a mic but you MUST be able to hear race control.
There will be silence during qualifying and race other than to warn drivers of (potential) incidents or to apologise for accidents. We don't want to know what you had for dinner, it is VERY off putting for other drivers.
It would help if you make yourself aware of how to use the 'whisper' function, but please assign keys you wouldn't normally use when typing i.e numerical keypad.
Connection details will be given soon.

Server settings for league races.
Please note we are not a 'hardcore professional league' (yet) and some settings may reflect that, notably grip level and damage. Discussions have taken place and decisions were made on TS where everyone was invited to take part.
Sun angle = 0 Virtual time of day will be 1pm. Other 'sun angles' can affect frame rate in lower end PC's
CLIENT_SEND_INTERVAL_HZ=20 Allows for a smoother race but uses more server CPU/bandwidth.
VOTING_QUORUM=100 Voting will be disabled.
TC_ALLOWED=1 Traction Control settings. If the R/L car has TC it will be available. Can be adjusted/disabled using Ctrl+T
ABS_ALLOWED=1 If the R/L car has ABS it will be available. Can be adjusted/disabled using Ctrl+A
STABILITY_ALLOWED=0 Fake stability control is forced off.
AUTOCLUTCH_ALLOWED=0 Auto clutch is disabled.
FUEL_RATE=100 100% fuel usage (normal). Note there is sometimes a bug with fuel calculations.
TYRE_WEAR_RATE=100 100% tyre wear rate (normal)
TYRE_BLANKETS_ALLOWED=1 Tyre blankets will keep tyres at 80 degrees on start grid.
DYNAMIC_TRACK Grip level will be 100% on all sessions.
ALLOWED_TYRES_OUT=4 Penalties are OFF. Refer to cut track incidents below.
DAMAGE_MULTIPLIER=50 Damage is set to 50%. Note this effects tyre flatspotting and graining as well as car/suspension damage.
RACE WAIT_TIME=80 When the session moves from the end of qualifying to race, you will have 80 seconds before the race starts to make final adjustments to your car.
Please note you must press start (steering wheel icon) at least 5 seconds before the countdown ends or you will be moved to the pits and unable to move for 20 seconds.
Race over time = 180 The race will end 3 minutes after the winner crosses the finish line.
====================================================================================================
Race format (Subject to change)
Practice will be 30 minutes. Qualifying will follow immediately after and last 30 minutes.
We will be alternating between 2 x 20 minute races and 1 x 40 minute race each week.
There will be 7 race weekends in total including the 5 lap league finale at Nordschleife. Tracks will be announced after each event but will all be default content and able to host 24 clients.
====================================================================================================
Restarts will only occur if there is major disruption to the race before the end of lap 1.
There will be no votes called, the decision will be made by race control so be careful not to damage your (or anyone else's) car. If you are taken out, get back on track and continue your race without moaning about it. Replays can be analyzed after the event. Repeated violations will result in removal from the league.
====================================================================================================
Rage quits / DNF's ... don't do it.
Numbers are limited to 24. If you constantly DNF or don't show up your slot may be made available to someone else. If you can't make a race for whatever reason, let us know in plenty of time so we can let someone else participate.
====================================================================================================
Cut track incidents
Cutting the track on numerous occasions will leave you with a deduction of points for the race. You are expected to carry out a “2 wheel on the tarmac” racing strategy. Accidents will happen, and if you miss a breaking point, or simply carry too much speed into corners, there are no in-game penalties applied. Should you however try to take advantage of the track to cut chicanes repeatedly to gain time, you will be rewarded with a penalty.
====================================================================================================
Race etiquette
Leave racing room for your opponent. Don't squeeze them off track under any circumstances and be aware where they are at all times.
If you push someone off track, allow them to take the position back. Don't stop on track for obvious reasons, instead keep up the pace but allow them to catch up. They may choose not to take the position back, if so they can let you know on TS.
Use whatever tools are necessary (track map) to ensure you don't cause collisions when rejoining the track.
More cars on track = more fun.
====================================================================================================
Above all else, we are representing ALOOG and as such our driving and behaviour should be exemplary. There will be no arguments either in chat or in TS at any time. Loss of temper will result in removal from the league and possible ban from forum and servers. Don't spoil everyone else's fun; think before you speak. We have been kindly invited to join another community in this league so please act accordingly.
Any incidents/accidents/disagreements can be discussed after the race either in open forum or by private message after a 24 hour 'cooling off' period. Keep it polite, clean and civilized. Aggressive posts will be removed and warnings will be given.
Remember, we are Gentlemen.
Please keep this thread as clean as possible with no unnecessary posts as it will be used to gather information. We don't want to be sifting through 15 pages of spam to get your GUID. If you have any questions post below. If you have questions which go unanswered it's probably because you didn't read this post properly.
Separate threads will be opened to announce each race.
